Built for adventures but ready for work, the 2025 Toyota Tacoma can handle most trucking needs. You can choose from six trim levels to match the model’s capabilities to your demands or lifestyle.

Trim Levels of the 2025 Toyota Tacoma

SR

The entry-level SR trim is powered by a 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 engine that makes 228 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque. That’s plenty of power for hauling across job sites or towing up to 3,500 pounds. You can choose from various cab and bed configurations, including an XtraCab with a 6-foot bed that is perfect for work and a Double Cab with a 5-foot bed that optimizes the model for daily driving and adventures.

SR5

Toyota equips this model with the same engine as the SR, but performance upgrades boost the net output to 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. Like the base trim level, this model comes in standard rear-wheel drive, and it can be had with a part-time four-wheel drive system that improves traction when driving off-road. This model also comes in various cab and bed configurations, making it easy to customize it to suit your needs.

TRD PreRunner

The TRD PreRunner builds on the SR5 with a range of performance upgrades, such as a standard electronically controlled locking rear differential that improves stability in challenging driving conditions. Like its SR5 sibling, it has a towing capacity of 6,500 pounds and is available in a range of cab and bed options. The XtraCab with a 6-foot bed has utility-focused rear storage for added convenience.

TRD Sport

This trim level is tuned for more spirited driving and comes standard with TRD sport-tuned suspensions that deliver enhanced shock absorption. Standard rear-wheel drive with an automatic limited-slip differential improves performance on slippery roads, and you can replace the standard automatic transmission with a six-speed manual if you’re craving more control.

TRD Off-Road

Designed for the off-road, this trim level comes standard with Toyota’s 4WDemand part-time four-wheel drive system and boasts an electronically-controlled two-speed transfer case with high and low ranges for improved control in demanding driving conditions. Bilstein monotube shocks also come standard on this trim for smoother rides when driving over obstacles.

Limited

The range-topper Limited trim comes with a wealth of performance features and luxuries. Like the TRD Off-Road, it boasts standard four-wheel drive but has a variable adaptive air suspension system that provides smooth rides on various road surfaces. The interior is packed with convenience features, such as heated and ventilated front seats. Dual-zone automatic climate control and a heated steering wheel bring further convenience.
